When I grow up, I wanna be a... daisy!

Did you knowthat it only takes several hours for daisies to regrow after the lawn is mowed? Little fighters, I say...

"The First Movie" -- Must See!

Marc Cousins's new documentary "The First Movie" blew my mind and heart. Set in the midst of gorgeous photography, the brilliant, almost melodic, narration tells a seemingly cliche story - about war, poverty, children, imagination, the Middle East - in a completely original way. Cousins has managed to make this into a story about much more, about discovery, something that is sure to touch us all.

Juice Party!

I finally got a juicer! It was one of those investments I had been delaying because you are never sure whether you'd use it enough. Then, it came as a surprise New Year present. Simply said, I love it! I would sincerely recommend it to everyone for 3 big reasons:

1. These juices are the best drinks I have ever tasted!

2. I am consuming 3 times as much fruits and vegetables than I used to. Plus, they are raw yet easily digestible because they are squashed into juice.

3. As soon as I wake up, I get up and start washing and pealing my fruit and veggies. It is an impetus to stop laying around in bed for too long and get the day going ASAP because my body starts asking for juice before I even get to open my eyes.

So far, my favorite recipes have been:
- 2 oranges, 2 sour apples, 2 carrots, one third of ginger
- 2 oranges, 2 apples, 1 banana, 10-20 raspberries, ginger as desired
- 1 beet root, 2 sour apples, 3 carrots (and a couple of drops of squeezed lemon as desired)

Change: The Art of Letting Go

Change. What an overanalyzed, radicalized word. As if the more we are awed by it, the more we will detach from it and it will only happen when it is absolutely unavoidable. Ah, the almighty, drastic changes. Tsunamis, revolutions, graduations and breakups.

Let me hold on to my grandparents, my childhood... My child's childhood!

Just for a bit, let this dream last longer.

Aww, I wanna go back to Spain!

I don’t want this day to end…

Why do chocolate bars have to dissolve in my spit?

Why do highs always crash?

Is that a wrinkle?!

Starting with birth, change is all that life really is. Yes, some changes bring scars (check for your belly button), but they also bring memories. Without losing, we gain no right to reminiscence. A friend of mine kindly reminded me today: the brevity of occurrences is what makes them so beautiful, fool. Live for the moment, but do welcome new ones!

A 1926 Commercial From the Kingdom of YU

Although seemingly very theatrical, the message is the same as that of today's commercials.
